Link-Inline™ Software 3.1.0 for Linux

Napatech Link-Inline Software 3.1.0 is a release that introduces these new features:

  • Support for 2x100G port speed on NT400D11 with Inline Flow Management feature set
  • Support for Tx fragmentation
  • Support for DPDK 23.11
  • Support for pattern match on ethertype
  • Support for QFI pattern matching (Support-ID 45269)
  • Support for rte_flow_action update (Support-ID 45226)
  • Support for pattern match on ICMP (Support-ID 45266)

This release includes these FPGA images:

  • NT200A02:
    • 9563-55-34 (Updated)
  • NT400D11:
    • 9569-55-34 (New)

This release resolves these support issues compared to Link-Inline 3.0.0 release:

  • Support-ID 45022: What to expect from the demo app?
  • Support-ID 45067: ntdevplugin PCI autodetect fails
  • Support-ID 45068: main app fails to start in a 2 NUMA node CPU
  • Support-ID 45069: Inline UPF-demo will not launch unless the Container is started in the privileged mode
  • Support-ID 45097: trex_inline_upf_demo.py generates invalid packets
  • Support-ID 45102: Container support questions
  • Support-ID 45103: Container Support - SRIOV device plugin
  • Support-ID 45123: nt_examples should not be part of DPDK examples

  • Support-ID 45142: suggested versions of k8s and docker for Link Inline SW 3.0.5
  • Support-ID 45150: DPDK API Group 0 flow rule works on Port 0 but not on Port 1
  • Support-ID 45151: The UPF is not able to resolve ARP for Port 1 (either port 1 is connect to gNB or DNN)
  • Support-ID 45154: Performance issues with Inline (inline upf demo)
  • Support-ID 45159: Forward Application can not compile for more than 10mil flows
  • Support-ID 45136: dpdk-testpmd is seg faulting if setup with more than Tx=32 and Rx=32 queues
  • Support-ID 45164: the NIC is sending out a corrupted packet if the UPF payload is lesser than 14B (Link Inline 3.0.5)
  • Support-ID 45183: testpmd command bad arguments
  • Support-ID 45216: incorrect checksum when applying gtp header encapsulation to ICMP/TCP packets
  • Support-ID 45225: GTP encapsulated ICMP traffic only forwarded if plain GTP has been sent before
  • Support-ID 45227: Match failed because of HW resource limitations
  • Support-ID 45229: issue about flow priority handling at group 0
  • Support-ID 45230: Testpmd error occurred when adding flows rules with some kind of order
  • Support-ID 45232: Question on which kind of flow rules are able to be created in same group
  • Support-ID 45296: testpmd commands does not work as expected
  • Support-ID 45303: problematic packet after upgrade to Link Liline 3.0.5
  • Support-ID 45305: Wrong GTP TEID when adding encapsulation action

Limited features in this release:

  • Reduced Flow learning rate (in the 150k/s range)
