This is a maintenance release in the Napatech Link-Inline Software 3.0 series (see features below): This release updates the FPGA image relevant to the 3.0 series:
We recommend to use the this latest version of this image due to updates done in 3.0.1
This release resolves these Support issues compared to 3.0.0:
- Support-ID 45022: What to expect from the demo app?
- Support-ID 45067: CASA POC ntdevplugin PCI autodetect fails
- Support-ID 45068: CASA POC - main app fails to start in a 2 NUMA node CPU
- Support-ID 45069: Inline UPF-demo will not launch unless the Container is started in the privileged mode
- Support-ID 45097: trex_inline_upf_demo.py generates invalid packets
- Support-ID 45102: Viper Container support questions
- Support-ID 45103: Viper Container Support - SRIOV device plugin
- Support-ID 45139: Flow manager limitations
- Support-ID 45142: suggested versions of k8s and docker for Link Inline SW 3.0.5
- Support-ID 45150: DPDK API Group 0 flow rule works on Port 0 but not on Port 1
- Support-ID 45151: Truminds - the UPF is not able to resolve ARP for Port 1 (either port 1 is connect to gNB or DNN)
- Support-ID 45154: Performance issues with Inline (inline upf demo)
- Support-ID 45159: Forward Application can not compile for more than 10mil flows
Features in introduced in the Napatech Link-Inline Software 3.0.0:
- Support for 2x100G port speed on NT200A02 (FPGA image 9563-55-16) with Native DPDK driver (version 22.11.1) with support for the following features
- Flow lookup (based on Flow Matcher)
- Policy lookup and enforcement (based on leaky bucket algorithm)
- Support for up to 4 policies
- MBR Policing support
- IPv4 and IPv6 support
- Flow mirroring support
- Subnet filtering (E.g. Can be used for subnet filtering on a per gNB basis in a 5G networks)
- Scatter-gather buffer system – to improve packet latency through the slow path (all packets going to the host system)
- GTP de-/en-capsulation
- NAT support (IPv4 only)
- DSCP tagging support
- Billing Counters
- Kubernetes support using Napatech Device Plugin
- VFs and support for connecting to VFs through Kubernetes containers
- rte_flow configuration through remote app that access PFs thought Linux sockets
- Inline UPF Demo application
- Limited features in this release
- Reduced Flow learning rate (in the 150k/s range)
