Description
Software package version ntanl_package_3gd-linux-12.3.3.
The Napatech Link Capture 12.3 software release introduces support for 4x10/25G breakout in combination with the Capture/Replay feature set on the NT200A02.
This new feature supplements current 2x10/25G support and opens up for use cases requiring higher density 25G connections.
The release also includes support for G.8275.1 PTP telecom profile on all Napatech SmartNIC’s and bug-fix’es.
Please refer to the documentation and release notes for details on the new features, bugfix’es and which SmartNIC products the new features apply to.
Feature summary:
- 4x10/25G support added to Capture/Replay feature set for NT200A02
- G.8275.1 PTP telecom profile for all Napatech SmartNIC’s
- The standard for phase/time synchronization with full timing support from the network
Please note that port 0 must be used for 4x10/25G breakout.
Notes on 25GBASE-CR (DAC) support
- 25GBASE-CR CA-L (2,5 - 5 meter cables) is supported
- Limitations
- 25GBASE-CR CA-N (0,5 to 2,5m meter cables)) is not supported
- 25GBASE-CR CA-S (2-3 meter cables) is not verified
- Link training is incompatible with some 3rd party equipment, resulting in unsuccessful link establishment when connecting to the affected equipment

The Napatech software package applies to these operating systems:
- Linux 3.0 -> 3.19 (64-bit)
- Linux 4.0 -> 4.18 (64-bit)
- Linux 5.0 -> 5.03 (64-bit)
The software has been qualified on: CentOS 7 and CentOS 8
